About Me

My Approach

I take a systemic approach to mental health, which means that I view individuals in the context of their family and environment. I believe that healing happens in relationship, so I focus treatment on building supportive bonds in our therapeutic relationship and between you and your loved ones. I am passionate about helping you understand and heal generational trauma so that you can break cycles. My practice is grounded in the idea that people are social beings who require support and security in order to grow. My work with children and teens is informed by attachment based family therapy and trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy, both of which teach regulation skills and strengthen the parent-child relationship.

My Qualifications

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of New Hampshire. This means that in addition to my bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, I have completed two years of supervised practice as a professional therapist and continue to educate myself on current research and therapy practices. Being an LMFT also means that I adhere to a strict code of ethics as well as legal standards to ensure that you receive the best quality treatment. My prior work experience includes clinic, residential, and community mental health settings. I have experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families of all ages and stages. I have also received training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT) and Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT).

Myself

A strong therapeutic relationship is key to your success in treatment, so I believe it is important for us to know each other on a human level. While I choose to keep details of my personal life private in order to maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries, it is important for you to know who I am as person and clinician. My personality is generally calm and reserved, which I hope welcomes you to take up the space you need in session. I have a sarcastic sense of humor and am happy to joke with you in session when appropriate. I also love to travel and develop my knowledge of other cultures. As a university student, I studied abroad in France, and prior to starting my practice, I taught English in Thailand. I work to bring my experiences abroad back home to be a better member of my community and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
